: : Hi Uncle Bob!
: : Nice to see you again on a Board!
: : Just some more info for Dave "Le Grand" (I'm French, so "Le grand" is OK-It was the name of a French king.
: : I have a micro ITR, and I must admit I don't use it everyday. To me the nice part about the ITR is the thread itself: a great one: very invisible yet very strong. It's the ideal thread for the Floating Rose, for example. I find this thrad much better than Michael Ammar's, Kevin Jame's, Finn Jon's...
: : So if you actually bought an ITR an don't like it, break open the ITR and use only the tread!!:)

Hey Sebastian- How's things in the foreign service? I'll be back home next Thursday, so write before I disconnect at the end of this month.

If you just want the thread, save some money and buy an ITR refill. It's a lot cheaper than the whole ITR. I'd agree that it's better for some things than the other invisible threads, but generally not enough better to justify the (extremely) higher cost. (And you can buy spools with 1000 meters of the Ammar/James/Jon's type invisible thread for about $6.00.
