If you're not sure, then you probably shold hold off on buying one. An ITR is useful for a lot of things, but it's not the best for most of them. It's biggest advantages is that it can be versatile and it usually doesn't require things to be pre-set. : Can you use it like a reel for do fly a silk far from you to yor hands? No, it has very little torque and can't reel in much more than thethread. Invisible thread is relatively weak, so a stronger reel would break the thread. I think the best reel for a small silk is John Kennedy's Hummingbird reel. It's a little expensive and won't really handle anything heavier than a 12" silk well. But it's extremely quiet and smooth. For large objects, Kenndy's larger electric reel is good- but not for close up. : Can you do the effect of a crampled bill or (any other object) floats You can, but only a couple feet- and only in one direction. : What can you do with it? Mostly float and/or animate objects. : Why is it best for do fly an object? I don't think it necessarily is. It depends on the object and the routine. : Convince me to buy the ITR. It'd be easier to convince you to not buy one. Figure out what you want to do and then determine if an ITR is the best method. If you don't know what you want to do with it then you'll spend $40 for another gimmick to keep in a box and look at once in a while. Bob K
