: The Rubik Cube trick was popular about ten years ago. Doug Henning did it on one of his TV Specials. I believe three of the cube's sides are random and the other three are solved.

I don't think it's sold anymore (I haven't seen it advertised or in a shop for years). But one side has random colors, the other 5 sides are solved. By turning the sides in a present order, the whole cube appears mixed up (it is). By turning the sides in the reverse order, you re-solve the 5 sides and still have one mixed up side showing until you throw it up and then hide that side as you catch it.
