Here are some things I just wanted to ask and say in one message rather then a bunch of
them. --When DC was on Oprah, he said his special was going to be on April 1. It
wasn’t. There hasn’t been one on TV( I think) since then. Someone on a DC message
board said that he heard it was supposed to be sort of a magic april fools day “trick” .
Ha. Does anyone know if this is true or not? If so, when will the next special be on?!
Ok, now the next thing has to do with the great wall of china illusion and the “fan”
It has to do with the shadows. Joel W. told me there is a specialprojector inside the
enclosure that projects a fake shadow onto the wall. But someone else told me it is his
real shadow, it’s just in a different spot then his body really is because of lighting.
Anyway, I’m kind of curious. Next. Who is this Herbert Becker guy? Is this book of his
out yet? Someone told me he is trying to ruin David’s career. Next. Can anyone be
more specific about how he flies? I know he is wearing a suit underneath. But how can
they make such small slits in the glass box and the bars for the wires to pass through.
Wear in the heck do you get this kind of wire from?!!! It would have to be really
strong!!! On his tv special, the camera had a shot of him flying in the box from a side
view. I thought the wires were supposed to be on a horizontal plane or something.
Anyway, if someone can be a bit more specific about that. Next. I have this book that
says you can appear to make something levitate. If you tie a thin piece of black thread to
your ear and to a ball that you have inbetween your hands. You can make the ball rise
and fall by moving your hands around foward and back. But this trick never works
successfully!!!!!!!!! Someone always sees it right away. I’m using fairly thin black
thread. I’ve tried it under certain conditions also!!!!! Is there a special magicians thread
that is extra thin or something that is supposed to work good? That floating cane trick
DC does...someone told me it uses black thread...but how come you can’t see it at all?!!...
or can someone recommend another way I can accomplish a close-up floating illusion.
