The patented Scalewatcher uses customized integrated circuitry and signal processing techniques. The signal cable, wrapped around the water pipe, transmits a complex frequency modulated wave form, which safely controls the precipitation of the calcium carbonate crystals. Treated crystals remain in the water and do not stick to the pipe wall. Existing scale deposits are softened, loosened and slowly dissolved in the water flow.
